Oil Filter on a Y reg Vectra?

Question

Can anyone tell me where the Oil Filter is on the Y Reg 1.8 Vectra, trying to change oil without buying a Haynes Manual.

normally at the back of the engine but some newer models will be at the top in a plastic housing, this depends on weather its a paper filter or a metal canister.

hi you should have a cartrage type oil filer 1.8 16 valve eco tec engine

but will depend on engine code lift bonnett you will see element with large nut front of engine next to exuast down pipe in front of rad

Jack the car up and it should be round the back of the engine?
