Oil Flat-form has a emergency life boat and heard they have a small motor and not moving much?

So i wonder they can use a big kite like parashoot as a extra kick for the life boat?

Too hard to deploy properly. The motor is just to move the boat away from the platform if it catches fire. They really want to stay nearby for rescue, not cruising all over the ocean. The motor is enough to propel the boat 5 or 6 knots. They can also rescue swimmers who may have jumped off.

The boat has a water spray system to keep it from burning and compressed air for the passengers to breath inside when floating through oil burning on the water.
