The gas at the pumps today was bought at an oil price far less than today. Why should todays price at the pumps be reflected by current oil prices?....it does make sense...if you are a crook.....greed....as far as the government taxes?.........they dont tax food because it is a necessary requirement.........and gas isnt?....gas tax is not moral....

  1. lifes unfair, especially oil companies

  2. You are paying for what is in the tanks at the station, not what "might" be cheaper coming from the refinery.

Gasoline is not a necessity. (I don't agree with that but.....) Home heating oil is not a necessity either, but I'd freeze to death without it. (But I don't "need" it. Go figure)

  3. I'd ask you how do you know that the gas in the tanls does NOT represent the price of the oil that it was derived from? Have you just made an assumption that the prices you see reflect the price of the raw material at that moment - why could it not be reflecting the actual purchase price.

  4. The oil and gas companies purchased these fuels in large reserves be for the  current crisis with the prices of oil and gas. They are not only ones to blame for this situation. Those who purchased barrels of oil would not sell this oil until the price went up. This only adds more fuel to this crisis. We should be developing alternative fuels right now. There is only talk about the development of alternative fuels at the present time. Mr. Gore just said that we would have enough alternative fuel in ten years. The people of this country cannot wait ten years for the solutions.  The congress should enact a bill right now  that would enable groups and individuals to create and start to put these types of fuel into action. The only things that I have lately is in the future tense.

  5. They continue to sell diluted fuel known as ethanol for the same price as what gasoline would cost yet I never hear the public complain about being sold watered down gas! I buy gas without ethanol in it and they charge the same price as the stations that sell gas + ethanol! Do you think the Chinese gentleman that owns the station is doing this out of the goodness of his heart? It's all contrived and manipulated four ways to Sunday!
