why can't prices on the forecourts drop in parallel

  1. Maybe they paid a more for the fuel they are selling now. It may take a while to filter down, Although I'd imagine its just because they're not too eager to cut the prices relatively because they're making a nice tidy profit - people are used to pay X for it, let it rest at that for a while.

    It's only really when other competitors drop their prices when it really goes down.


  2. Theyre very quick to put up the prices on the forecourts.  We may well be using the more expensive oil at the moment but I wonder if they will drop back down in a month or so when we're using the cheaper oil then?

  3. Good question, they are dropping slowly here in Ireland but nowhere near as fast as they shot up in June/July. Its not right the petrol companies make such a profit by not dropping prices.  

  4. time to cash in LEGITE for the retailers and the gov.
