Link from here wont go directly to search results.

Go to the site,,and use their search for > 350F

You have to Register,,,but it's Free.

That literature is for '72's and '74's,,,,it's pretty much all the same as for 1973 models

Put some good fork oil in it,,,wouldn't surprise me if it's Never been changed.

It'll make it ride "like a new bike"

  2. What I would do ....is Drain the old oil, Put the plug back  in and start re filling it, marking how many quarts/liters as you go constantly checking the level.

    Best of luck

  3. I would start with three and run it then check it again. But it should be marked on the motor near where you put it in.

  4. More than 3qts and less than 4qts

Don't just dump in the required amount of oil.

The required amount is to fill a dry engine (just built - never had oil in it).

When you drain the oil, not all is drained, some is still left in the engine, in crevices and oil gallies.

After draing the oil and replacing the oil filter - put the bike on the centerstand and add oil while checking the oil level every 1/4 quart.

Check the oil by resting the dip stick on it's threads - do not s***w it in when checking the oil level.

When the oil level is at the top notch of the dipstick, s***w it it.

Start and run the engine for a few minutes - to let the oil circulate throughout the engine and fill the oil filter.

Turn off the engine and let it sit for a few minutes - to let the oil drip down to the crankcase.

Re-check the oil level - add more, or drain some if necessary.

  5. The oil capacity might be marked near the oil fill. It will be in CC's.
