i have an older murray lawnmower and filled it with 2 much oil. I drained the oil and correctly filled it. Now the cord will pull fine with the spark plug out but when in it is almost impossible to yank. I have cleaned the inside hole should i let it air out overnight????

  1. Crank the engine with the plug out until it stops spitting out oil.  Clean off the spark plug and reinstall.  It should start.

  2. if it is OIL air will not dry it out that is GAS that that works for and if you have OIL on a plug then you have a bad piston ring

OOO.... And it wont pull because you have oil on top of the Piston   flush it out with gas and then try it   If not than  it is trash
