  1. No, we have to use crude oil because its used the production of virtually everything we own nowadays, and is the one product that affects people in virtually every nation in the world.

Currently, the oil market is valuing the oil in US Dollars, and the countries that sell above a certain percent of crude oil to the US are also buying off a percentage of our national debt. To drill on domestic soil would mean that these oil producing countries wouldnt need to sell oil to us anymore (or buy a certain amount of our natl. debt as their contract requires), re-value their oil to another currency (say, the Euro) and effectively collapse the American economy in a years time.

Go ahead, ask Bush and co. the real reason they wont drill in alaska.

  2. Hydrogen gas works but the process of producing and storing hydrogen gas is too expensive both in extracting electrical power and the production, transportation, and therefor the price considering for what it's really worth.

AMERICAN GOVERNMENT CANNOT STOP USING OIL. It's like saying stop improving the military and help the poor. We don't help the poor the way they should be helped. We are greedy and will only work for profit. Sorry, "we" as in the government.

There is no way to stop oil from running out. What we can do is minimize the amount of energy we use. Doing so is also good for the atmosphere ie global warming and cheaper. Money saved can then be spent on improvement alternate energy souce such as hydrogen gas, wind, solar, water.

  3. There is no right answer but to move away from oil
