Oil production in the panhandle of texas?

I have 980 acres in the north western part of the panhandle of texas and am trying to figure out companies that might be interested in production on my land. If you know of any companies that could be interested please let me know thank you.

Oil production is ruining our environment. Oh, you didn't know that? I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you but we are in a climate crisis caused by the burning of fossil fuels.

But you have the perfect opportunity to make a huge difference. 980 acres will hold a lot of parabolic solar collectors and you could produce enough power for the entire county and become a gazillionair and be really famous! Because it IS about the money & fame, right?

Research it, it is being done in other countries. Why not here? Make your choices wisely for they will come back to haunt you if you don't. Good luck!

Here are some companies that are engaged in oil and gas development.  Generally speaking unless you've had your land surveyed by a geologist and favorable results from a prospect hole how do you know there is oil to be had under your land?  Do all your neighbors have wells on their land?

Coal is actually a much worse problem as far as CO2 emissions go, but yes, oil plays a part also.

It is likely, as much as Texas has been explored and drilled, that if oil companies thought there was oil on your property, they would have tried to buy or lease mineral rights.  But oil is a lot more expensive now.  There is nothing to lose from contacting some oil companies and asking.
