what things do you need to study to do a jon like oil prospecting, and how much money do you earn doing oil prospecting?

Its hard to say if you are a wild catter you can make almost nothing until you strike it rich.

If you are a company man with a degree in engineering and maybe geology then i would say between 50k and 90k a year unless you work for Exon and have been there a while then the dollars goes up.

I've prospected for oil after obtaining certification for SCUBA.

Money was not at issue but rather what salvage was aboard

oil leaking shipwrecks that proved available.  Aircraft rental

flights over calm waters of documented world war sinkings

provided the fastest method to obtain GPS fix for subsequent

charter boat diving.  Sunk shipping and Naval vessels leak for decades but few people appreciate the resources freely

available on seabeds.
