  1. Any major oil brand would be fine, make sure it's the recommended weight for your car's engine, a K&N oil filter is fine(if you're made of money-lol), but I like the Purolator brand of filters(Fram is over-rated IMO). With 73K on your odometer, I'd suggest a semi-synthetic blend oil and I like Castrol brand(but Penzoil, Quaker State, Valvoline, Mobil, etc. are all good, quality brands of oil). I know that the high-performance full synthetic oils are all the rage(i.e. Redline, Royal Purple, Mobil One, Lucas), but unless you drive your car to the extreme and/or it's a high horsepower engine, running full synthetics will only drain your wallet IMO. Change your oil & filter regularly(every 3-5 thousand miles) and regular quality brand oil should be just fine.

  2. I've had great luck for years with Havoline. Torn down engines with >100K miles and still see the fine hine marks all the way to the top of the bores.

  3. use whatever the owners manual recommends.

  4. 10W30, Oil company oil Texaco,Shell, etc. I never buy store brands or off brands like STP or CAM3.

  5. when you get oil, get high milage oil.

  6. I would stay with what is recommended for that engine.73,000 miles is not a lot of miles to go with a heavy weight oil. I think that engine requires 5W20W but might want to check..
