I was removing the oil tank and some oil dripped out of the pipe and now the whole house smells like oil. What is the best way to clean it up. And how do I get rid of the smell? Someone please help!

  1. Mop the floor with a strong detergent solution.

Air the house out.   The smell may persist for a while - our noses are pretty sensitive (no match for a bloodhound, but still able to detect strong smells at parts per billion in the air), and it may take a few days before it's gone completely.

  2. Saw dust to soak up oil, ventilate house best as possible.

  3. Hi, Believe it or not kitty litter will work here. Try spreading some to soak up any that is still left on the concrete and then take a block of wood and make like you are scrubbing the kitty litter to mash it into the oil and pulverized the litter. It has a strong deodorizer and absorbent clays in it. Do it several times.  Ventilate as required. Good luck!

  4. if their is  puddle you can use cat litter to soak it up  as for the smell that is hard to get rid off , they do make products to mask the smell  but not sure if a serious scrubbing with good old cleaner isn't your best bet .

  5. Wash it up with some strong laundry soap.
