Oil vs Gas?

Gas is refined from oil I believe

but oil is also used to make plastic products.

You can't really  burn Oil efficently by itself, but you can gas.

so gas?

Are you talking about which is cleaner to burn in a power plant?  That would go to natural gas.

natural gas has a higher percentage of hydrogen than oil.

typically, both are hydrocarbons.

methane is the simplest gas,  CH4

oil tends to be more of a 2:1 ratio, sometimes even less.

coal is pure carbon  --  except for the sulfur and other contaminants.

so gas is better and cleaner.

and more efficient.

Gas is oil just refined, they are both pretty harmful to the environment actually.
