  1. this will definitly help them i think it was a good trade

    GOOO WINGS!!!!!

  2. Great move.

    1) Raffi Torres was a liability defenesively - always trying to make a devistating check - sometimes on the opposite wing!

    2) He was inconsistant offensively - for some reason he loved playing Vancouver. But You can only play them so many times. He coldn't stick handle thus time on the powerplay was very limited.

    3) I think it was a couple games before his ACL injury, which finished his season 1/2 way through last year, he got into a fight on the bench with the coach.... Karma!

    4) He was buddies with Jarret Stoll - who was traded a couple of days before to LA... now the guys in the locker room do not need to hear... Jarret this... Jarret that...

    5) This move frees up salary space - Turres was making 5.15M over the next two years - while Gilbert Brule is signed for under 800K this year.

    6) Gilbert Brule was born in Edmonton.

    7) Gilbert is 21 vs Torres who I think is 27.

    8) Gilbert was drafted 6th overall in the year that had the following players before him, Sidney Crosby, Bobby Ryan, Jack Johnson, Benoit Poiliot, and Carey Price. Not bad company.

My only Huh? was, why they did not try to package Torres and Pikanen for a 1st line centre or sniper for Hemsky?

  3. yeah man i agree on that i just excited to see what the coyotes would do now.

  4. Bad move by the Oilers if Torres is down for playing next season.

  5. Dammit, why would they trade Torres!
