Oiling a Jonome 6600

Question

My Janome 6600 has started to squeak. It sounds like it is coming from the gear that turns to move the needle up and down.

The manual gives NO instructions about oiling. Can anybody tell me how? I hate to bring my machine in and be without it for two weeks just to be cleaned and oiled.
