  1. use both shampoo & conditioner but don't use anything once out of the shower. i recommend head & shoulders. Good Luck!

  2. i know this may sound kind of odd and unusual, but you can try washing your once a week with dish washing liquid, like Palmolive.

i know it sounds gross, but it worked for my grandmother when she used to have that problem.

  3. Get some witch hazel, put some on a cottonball and dab it on your roots.

Also try getting your hair thinned out at the stylists, my hair is thick and gets oily in the summer months. Thinning it out helps alot.

  4. Try rinsing your hair in a mixture of water and vinegar, The problem could be your water is too soft.   If the water is too soft, do not rinse the vinegar mixture out with the water from the taps. Leave it.  The smell will go away in minutes.  I do this when I visit my family  who has a water softener for the whole house and it makes the water too soft.

  5. i have the exact same problem.

wash it every morning with anything execpt PANTEEN!

it ameks your hair fall out.

use long herbal essences (red bottels) for a days woth of non oily ness :)

your hair will lok better if you wash it on the mornings, at night it'll get oily over night FAST.

but on the bright side when you get older the oils prevent your hair from turning gray (:

  6. Keep washing your hair everyday and when you do scrub just the scalp and let the shampoo just run down your strands by itself because scrubbing your ends and anywhere but the roots can cause breakage which equals frizzy and unmanageable hair.

Then condition, avoiding roots. If you have long hair you can gather it in a ponytail with your hand and just apply the conditioner to the hair in the ponytail (not the scalp!!)

If that doesnt work try using a deep cleaning or clarifying shampoo and conditioner following the same techniques. The shampoo will work overtime and remove buildup while the conditioner will soften your hair while still keeping it fresh and light without weighing it down.

You can find this shampoo and conditioner at drugstores:

  7. Same problem here. Use a good clarifying shampoo. Try Pantene clarifying shampoo. Good Luck!

  8. Just wash it everyday!

  9. use less conditioner, and avoid using products out of the shower, use more shampoo

  10. Use a good cleansing shampoo like a Tea Tree one. Paul Mitchell has a really good one. If your going to use a clarifying shampoo, that cleases your hair good, but only use once or twice a week, cuz it'll dry your hair out ALOT. So u can clarify and run a quick conditioner through your hair to put back a LITTLE bit of moisture so it isn't straw when its dry, cuz that'll happen. tea conditioner is the perfect balance of light moisture. or a dry shampoo every other day. Good luck :)

  11. I have oily hair too.  I have to wash it everyday, but I condition from about where my ears are, down.  I don't put conditioner on the top of my head, or near roots up there.  I feel it would weight it down and make it oily faster.  Sorry, I know this doesn't answer your question but I think we're in the same boat...washing it daily.  :-/

  12. yess!!!! at sephora get this spray can called dry shampoo spray in a yellow bottle. the brand is oscar blandi and you can get it online. only $22! it works amazing and smells good too :)
