Question:

Ok, I've about had it with the "coffee breaks"

I'm getting pretty d..n sick of taking the time and effort to answer a question just to get the "taking a breather" screen. This is happening to me over and over and over, and of course my answer never gets posted. Is this happening regularly to others here?

  1. I know!  Why can't they take their breaks in shifts...like the REST OF THE WORLD???

  2. I haven't been on as much lately since I've gotten busy and haven't really been at home much... but it used to happen to me a lot.

  3. It happened to me once two weeks ago

  4. All the time.  I think it defaults to that if Yahoo thinks you've done anything wrong with your answer.  I have found (yes, even today) that if sometimes it won't allow a Wikipedia site to be attached and sometimes it will.  So if I delete the source it will accept the answer. Today it thought I misspelled a word and wouldn't accept (took a coffee break) my answer until I fixed it.  Three times today, nothing worked and I gave up.  It IS maddening.

  5. You are a top answerer so you are probably on here more than me; it almost never happens to me.

  6. Yeah, it's happening to me way too often.  And to several other regular contributors I know as well.

I'm curious ... how is it that a totally automated system needs to take a break?
