Do a Google search for used home school math books.  I think you will find lots there....

It really depends on the type of curriculum you want to go with.  Each company teaches in a different sort of way.  My son (in 5th, working on 7th-8th grade work) highly prefers Math-U-See, it's not too bad on price and is very user-friendly.

I really recommend you get a catalog from Rainbow Resource and the sampler DVD from Math U See; this will give you a wide range of math books at decent prices to choose from.  Not knowing where you are in math (6th grade varies widely among curriculum providers) or how you like to learn (computer activities?  workbooks?  DVDs?  manipulatives?) really kind of makes it difficult to give you specific suggestions.

If you have time to look for one, I prefer Saxon the best. You would want a 6/5 or 7/6.  You can buy them on ebay fairly inexpensively.

If you need one right away, why not just go to your local Barnes and Nobel or other book store and buy a Math workbook?  They sell Spectrum Math books and AEP Math workbooks for less than ten dollars.  You will be able to find a lot of different Math workbooks for your grade level.  Hayes makes some Middle School Math workbooks too that would work.

If you need net help, search the names of all grade 6th maths books. then go to your nearest bookstall and find 'em!

Or go to any book-shop and ask for a good grade-6 maths book. this will surely help you.

well the school should get u the math books if u are learing the same thing that they are learing just ask u r parents if they can go to the school and ask for the mathbook because u are learing the same thing it really depends that is what i suggest u do i wish u the best of luck and happy holidays and p.s dont give people your grade on the internet

It's the end of the first semester.  How long have you been homeschooled?  Your parents should have had all of the textbooks and curriculum in place before you were withdrawn from school.  They are wasting instructional time by not having the appropriate materials.

What kind of learner are you? How do your learn best? Go check out used curriculum and curriculum stores and check them out.

Math-U-See was mentioned. It's a hands on program. But you might not find that at the store. it's very popular. But not for everyone.

We really enjoyed Singapore Math, US Edition. It's more advanced and you might want to start at the 4th or 5th grade level. Check out some sample pages online to see what you need. Personally, we like the pictures!

Saxon is widely accepted by serious academics - homeschool and private school alike. Dry and boring and lots of drills.

We are currently using Accelerate Christian Education's PACES. Again, love the pictures. We were just trying something new. If you are overwhelmed easily, these are broken up into books skinnier then a comics.

Next year, we'll probaby just go back to Singapore Math.

We use Saxon.  For 6th grade, use 6/5 or 7/6, depending upon your ability.

You can get them online at a used curriculum or auction site for about $15.
