Ok, I have a 29 year old son that I still can claim on my taxes,brcause he is disabled, He was on taxes?

I was able to claim my son on my taxes so why he is not included in stimilous check?

  1. The IRS website said that if someone is over the age of 17 and claimed as a dependant, that person does not get a check. It goes on to say that even if they arn't claimed, but have the possiblility to be claimed they still don't get the check. Why? My parents don't claim me, but still technically can be claimed, so because of that I don't get anything, and because I'm not under 17, they don't get an extra $300.


  2. He was too old.  Only children UNDER age 17 as of Dec 31, 2007 qualify you for the extra $300 kicker.

  3. The dependent must not be more than 16 in 20007 to be eligible for stimulus rebate.
