...that resembles a dove, but one with a little brown coat on and flaps of fur in front of its feet? I was driving through Sis-Q National Park & got out of my car to use my cell while overlooking a canyon. I saw the bird both times I stopped (30 minutes apart), but I'm pretty sure it didn't want me around. It flew straight at me twice, and then sat watching me when I got in my car. I thought it might be a baby something or other, but the territorial-ness seemed to suggest otherwise. The legs weren't just hairy, there were actual flaps covering its feet. I've poked around online, but I'm stumped. Any ideas?
