I'm going to be a sophmore after this summer, and this summer I'm doing the track camp at my school for the first time. The thing is everyone else whose doing it was on the track team this year while i wasn't due to an ankle injury! So any advice on how to be good enough and belong?!

  1. Whats great about track camps is they are meant to help you get in shape and learn the technique of track and field. Start running about a mile a day if you are distance keep building your mileage up a little at a time. If you are a sprinter don't worry about doing to much mileage. Just work on doing 400 meter repeats.

Everyone is going to be at this camp for the same reason so you will fit in just fine. good luck and have fun.

  2. i was a junior this year and it was my first year...everyone else had been on the team and running for at least 2 years...at first it was awkard cuz i was way slower then all of them but i just kept my head up and i pushed myself hard and worked way harded then all of the other girls...i felt outta place but all my hard work got be noitced even if i wasnt the fastest girl...

so my advice is to just dont give up and dont try and show off...work your *** off for yourself and just practice way more then the other girls and u'll be fine

    good luck!

  3. just buy yourself a good nice running outfit and some good shoes and get out there and run. that's your school too, you belong there just as much as anybody else. just do it
