  1. take classes where possible wherever you are. For most smalltime movies they will recruit from drama classes/acting classes and don't feel bad if your not chosen, it's always hard at the start,.

  2. got to start in the school plays. go get in them.

  3. You have to identify a style that you want. A person, group, or company that really make you think "I want to do that". Find a way to practice with their technique (and i said practice, rather than study). practice is finally what will get you on stage in a solid way. Make yourself clear if you want either a JOB or an artistic activity that will make you happy. Being notorious is not necessary being talented, or, even worse, it will make you compromise many ethical things that you might not like to do or act in plays that you dont really like. The commercial circuit not always cross roads with the pure artistic lane, so you have to be focused in what you deeply wish. Welcome! Best of luck

  4. Get training from authentic Drama or Film and Television institute, you will find opportunities there not on answers

  5. Obviously you have to enrol yourself into some sort of a stage school so that you can say that your doing something to keep your acting abilities up. Build up a portfolio, research it on google, there are plenty of sites that tell you what you need. Once you feel confident enough sign yourself up for auditions and try and get yourself involved in local plays. Start small and work your way up, not only will it build up your confidence but your CV as well.

Acting isn't just about the glitz. There is something much deeper to it. Have you thought of perhaps taking up psychology or even picking up a couple books about it? Getting to know how the human mind works can help you get into character too.

I'm doing theatre at the moment and love it! TV and camera isn't for me, but the way into the industry is through theatre. You could even take up a small part time job within the TV industry, another thing you can write down on your CV and it's all linked.

    Good luck!
