Ok, i'm in a bit of a pickle!!!?

Question

travelling through canada and around US, my 2 mates have gone off towards Boston, and have realised they have some of my stuff including my UK drivers license and Passport. What do i do?? already been to the British embassy in Ottawa but they were no help!!! have emailed my mates but can't get hold of them, my other option trying to get hold of my birth certificate in England but that could take weeks! thanks so much guys!!

From my brief research, it appears that an emergency passport can only be issued if the original has been stolen.  Hypothetically, if someone were to report their passport stolen, the embassy could assist with replacement.

You will have to find a way to get official identification.  If you report your passport as lost, I am sure the British embassy will be able to help you.

wait weeks or until you can get in touch with the b******s that stole your passport, for money busk.

You can get your birth certificate sent to you overnight via UPS or Fedex and as the other poster said report your passport lost and they should be able to issue a temp one.  That is the best way to go if you can't reach your mates because you won't be able to leave Canada without one unless you want to get deported that is.
