  1. Yes, but it's unlikely.  The pill is only about 85-90% effective.  The literature that comes in the packet says that missing one is okay and you don't need backup birth control, but missing two or three means you need to wear a condom for a week.

I miss a pill every once in a while (almost always because I forget to pack it, lol), and I'm still not pregnant.  So you're most likely okay, but since there's always a chance, try to remember it. :)

  2. If you miss one pill, you don't have to worry. If you miss two or more, there is a very slight chance of pregnancy. If you miss three, start a new pack of pills. If you're period is late, take a pregnancy test, but I'm pretty sure you're fine.

  3. If only one pill is missed, then you should not worry. If you miss more than one, then there is need for concern. Always remember to take it every day (or switch to a different method that does not require daily dosing). However, without protection, you are exposed to STDs that you BF may have.

  4. First you have to realize that there is a slight chance you can become pregnant on the pill even if taken properly (around the same time of day, everyday).

In terms of the missed pill, usually it is recommended that one missed pill should be taken as soon as you realize you forgot it.  Two missed pills and you should revert to a backup method (like condoms).
