I believe that Curlin would probably win. But that filly is a fast one, but not as fast as Curlin!

  1. rags to riches would romp....by 6

  2. Well, all I can say is we have not seen the best of Curlin.  I think we will be hearing a lot more about that one, if he holds up and gets a little more experience under his belt!

  3. You may see that in the stretch run in the Belmont Stakes. I am not a fan at all of match races, but your runner is too strong for the filly.

  4. Curlin would win!!!!

  5. I think Curlin would do well if Rags stayed ahead of him most of the race, he likes the chase. Curlin is a good horse and I think he would win as well.

  6. hopefully we will never see that because its one thing for achampion filly to run agianst a full field of boys but entirely different in a match race. It would be a shame if she ended up like ruffian.( she tried so hard in her match race agianst foolish pleasure that she broke down and ended up having to be put down) champions in any sport are champions because of two things ability and heart, Rags to riches has both but curlin would win

  7. I personally don't think that you will see much of Curlin come the Belmont. It is way too long of a distance for him to last. He was not breed for that long. but as for the comparison, its tough to put a philly up agains a colt like that but i would still have to take rags in that one.

  8. That's a tough question since Rags to Riches hasn't really had a big challenge yet.  I mean the Oaks field was pretty good, but the race was shorter than the Derby and the Oaks horses weren't as good as the Derby horses.  BUT...  Rags to Riches has been working out with Circular Quay...  BUT Circular Quay is kinda lazy and hasn't really run well in the Triple Crown races.  so...  i don't know.  Curlin looked pretty decent in the Preakness, but there was no way he was winning the Derby...  I mean he was 4 lengths behind Street Sense at the top of the stretch and Street Sense pulled away...  and I think Hard Spun pulled away from Curlin too, but i'm not entirely sure.  Of course that was quite a wake up call for Curlin since he was faced with such a different racing environment than he was used to (a huge field with actual competition rather than the small fields with horses he could run away from in the stretch).  I'm still not sure about Curlin and I'm really not sure about Rags to Riches because she's only run against fillies over short distances.  I think there's too many questions to decide the outcome of this race.  If forced to pick, I'd say Rags to Riches...  just because I like to see a girl beat the boys.

  9. depends on the distance and racetrack

Curlin is still improving so i think he certainly has an edge over anyone he faces regardless
