Ok, so, how can someone stalk you on Facebook if all the accounts are PRIVATE until someone is your friend? ?

How? It is stupid. People talk about stalkers and strangers looking at your pics but they CAN'T do that actually because all accounts are private for the people who are not friends!

If you belong to a network, you can see some of the profiles of other people in your network unless they have specifically chosen to make them private.

Some people decide not to keep them under private. However, if you write on your friend's wall, someone who you may not know but your friend does know can see your post. Furthermore, pictures of you that your friends have can been seen by others.

^ But that being said, I think that if you're careful enough, you won't get hurt.

Not all accounts of "nonfriends" are private.

You can make yours private... but not all are.

Not all accounts are private. When people say they are looking for other people's profiles not on their friends list and can get into them only because they are in the same network as them. It's up to the individual if they want others to see their profile in privacy settings where they have a list and they can click on all networks and friends or only friends in the profile settings.

It also used to be that if you belonged to the same network that no matter what you did, people could view all your pictures and pictures taken of you. They would have full access to your profile and would only be barred from writing on your wall.

Also, I know some people who befriend non-real people (i.e. anime characters) and the people behind those sometimes are not really the best people.

On top of all this, if you comment on someone's photo or note in which they had the privacy setting to private, all your friends could still view that photo or note. FB has made it better, but not the best.
