Ok, so I'm in photo shop CS3 making a sig and my smudge tool starts smudging GRAY over my image. ?

Question

It was working fine, i was fiddleing with the settings but i dont know whats happend.

change blend mode of smudge tool to normal

There could be a bunch of things.... are you in the right layer, are your background/foreground colors set to black and white, is the smudge tool set to the right settings??? Look at those three things first, if that doesn't work then email me and I can probably help you out. I'm just going out on a limb though and saying it's probably your smudge settings.

i think its the layer you are using, because there is nothing there there is nothing to smudge? :S

anyway, i'm sorry if my answer was bad :( i don't use photoshop i use psp and its quite similar so..

Make sure youre on the correct layer. That your colour palettes set to total black/white (00000/fffff) and check out some tutorials on google.
