Question:

Ok, so for the Suns?

I just opened a question regarding the Blazers a bit ago. Seems like some Blazer fans likes Steve Blake/Bayless combination in PG. So there leaves Sergio Rodriguez who played about 8 mins per game last season for the Blazer. With Bayless joining, Rodriguez's min may even get reduced more.

The Suns picked him first but traded to Blazers in 2006. Should they get him back? The kid, at 22, can ball. Has great court vision and decent shooting touch. Having him backup Nash isn't a bad thing. What do you think Suns fans?

  1. I'm not sure who Sergio Rodriguez is. I've heard of him but I'm not to familiar with his skills and abilities. But they just really need a back of guard so if he is even remotely good, and can run the point (I mean pass great and score) then he should be great!!

  2. suns aren't winning a championship soon

    hope i helped

  3. no, no fair

  4. Well...I'm a Blazer fan...been watching Sergio for the past two years, and he's just okay.  Heck, the Spanish team didn't want him on their national team this year for the Olympics.  That has to hurt.  His style is more towards the streetball side and he turns it over too much as well as takes some pretty poor shots...and he's not that great of a shooter...he should pretty much never shoot a 3.  He's shot 3s at .287 over 2 years in Portland.  Maybe he'll still develop into a starter, but I wouldn't expect him to get a whole lot of minutes on any team, as it stands now.  He says is working really hard on his shot this off season and that not getting selected to the Olympic team may be a blessing as it's his first summer without playing professional ball since he was like 14 years old or something.  He's planning on being back in Portland mid August, so that's something.   Barbosa is a way better back up for Nash right now.  I've been hoping for more from Sergio, but have yet to see it and would agree that I don't see him getting too many minutes on this team with the addition of Bayless.
