no! it sounds very pretty! i would change the spelling, to lyncia, instead of lanycia, kind of like my sister has the name mari, people always pronounce it mary, people aren't going to pronounce her name right there going to say lanycia... other wise it is not a ghetto name!

well, it doesn't look like it should be pronounced Lynn-i-ci-a, it looks like it should be said Lane-i-ci-a.  So I'd change the spelling a bit, but other than that I actually think it's pretty.

gosh this name is awful.  I'm surprised so many people like it, and i'll willingly take thumbs down.  lynn i sha?  it's really awful.  

a, you can call your kid whatever you wanted.  If you called her alicia or alana, she  could still be "la la" if you wanted.  (which is a pretty bad nickname.  hard to say, and just reminds me of when people cover their ears and try to drone other people out)

and if you spell it Lanycia, people will say Lane ee sha.  

I'm really sorry if i'm hurting your feelings, but for the love of G-d please try a name like

Laila/Layla

Alana

or heck, even just name her Lala/Lalla.  ANYTHING is better than lynnicia.  and she can be a "la la" with anything that starts or ends with "la" or even has the sound.

Her nick name can be any thing you want. It doesn't have to be related to her name, just what you like.

If you spell it Lan people will call her Laney.My name is Lynn, spelled Lann it wouldn't be pronounced the same. Just spell it Lynicia and call her la la.. trust me it beats explaining the pronunciation of her name to every person you meet. Or just call her Lan i ci a. Its kind of cute.
