This is funny, I live in London and everyone here felt it. I was fully awake at 1am listening to music and in the bathroom. I did not feel a thing, and if measured 5.3. It apparently lasted 10 seconds. I believe that God protected me (and my friend said she did not feel it either) from that because I might have felt scared and also I was having a bad day yesterday. My mom came in the room and was like my room just shock I can't sleep in there. A lot of people said they felt scared.

  20. I did not feel the earthquake as I live in Ireland - but my sister in Northampton sent me a text (that woke me up) to say she was really scared the house was coming down!

  30. I felt it. It woke me up, as I lay in bed uncontrollably shaking. I'm a bit of a hypochondriac though. I'm only 26, but I thought I was having a heart attack. When the shaking stopped, I assessed whether there was any brain damage by doing a few sums in my head to see it there was any impact on logical thought processes. None were apparent, but I was still worried, so I phoned in sick to work, and was just about to go to the doctors when I saw on the news that there'd been an earthquake.

I feel a bit stupid now, and had I not seen the news before going to the doctors, it would have been very emabarrasaing.
