It depends on whether the settlement is considered fair by you,and the attorney.

Whatever amount you agreed with the attorney must be considered.Also if this settlement is a result from some physical injury of bodily harm to you,or the other party then it may not be a good thing to settle as there could be health issues that may arise from the original damage in which may be unseen at present.If one settles and there are no other clauses to protect one at a later date the issue cannot be re-addressed at a later time,as the settlement is exceptance of those terms at present agreed to.
