  1. Very normal to have either or.  Let me just tell you that for me if it wasn't one it was the other.

  2. I had both in early pregnancy - it would be constipation one day, then diarrhea the next. It gets better after about 9-10 weeks though.

  3. Not only is it not uncommon, but it's totally normal.  Not gross at all either.  Also, be prepared for hemorrhoids because they often show their ugly faces right after the diarrhea and constipation.  You're drinking a lot of water while pregnant and hopefully eating lot's of fruits and veggies.  Your unborn baby is sucking up a lot of the good stuff (including most of the fluids) and leaving you with the rest which is usually hard as a rock and not going to come out easily.  My doctor ok'd laxatives so maybe you could try some of those.  Good luck!

  4. Most people say yes! I mean its common!

  5. First of all, for those of us who have been pregnant nothing is a gross question, we've all been there.  With my first pregnancy I was constipated.  Things like benefiber are good.  You don't want to be constipated because it will cause major hemorrhoid problems and that is not comfortable after you give birth.  I think diarrhea would be pretty normal too considering the hormone levels.

  6. Welcome to the wonderful world of pregnancy. All sorts of fun things go on during pregnancy. Soon you will be passing gas, belching and other fun stuff. Enjoy!!

  7. constipation forever!!

still have it.  gawd...can't wait to have this baby!

  8. YES!!!! when you can go be glad  you can cause for me it only got worse

  9. hormones during pregnancy can cause changes in bowels either way, constipation or diarrhea. this week you may have diarrhea, next week you might be constipated. or you may mostly one of the other throughout your whole pregnancy.
