Look for menial jobs like lawn services -- any place that employs illegal immigrants doesn't do background checks.

If you're worried about a past arrest, you should still not worry about a background check if you tell the truth on your application. Employers won't automatically NOT hire you, unless your conviction is for something serious like attempted murder or grand larceny.

Legitimate employers do criminal background checks and run drug screens.
