Ok, what is the name of this movie that I can't remember???

Question

I have the image of a new boy in a new college that is really bothered by other boys he's in love with a girl that actually feels nothing for him but yes some kind of affection because he's very intelligent and charming.

The main scene that I hope must of you may remember is when the boy and the girl decide to study around a huge big tree, I guess he was trying to teach her a subject but then start to have fun, well what I remember is when they start laughing, running and fall on the mud that is near the tree.

I think it was an 80's teenage movie.
