  1. Not just every major religion, but also most major philosophies contain one "rule" of moral behavior in common.  Given that it is so universal, I think it would be a good idea for even an atheist or an agnostic to follow.  Although it is phrased in many different ways, here is the way I know it:

Do to others how you would want them to do to you.

Follow that always, and I think you'll do fine.

PS -- You may want also to post this question in Society & Culture > Religion & Spirituality.  You'll probably get a lot more good answers there.

  2. I am not religious too, just try to follow common human laws. And always treat others in the way you want them to treat you.

  3. Religion doesn't hold the monopoly on morality.  Do what you believe is right and remain true to yourself.  The rest will fall into place.

  4. Follow your conscious.  If something feels "wrong" it probably is.

As far as religion, that is a very personal thing.  Wars have been waged over religion.

My husband and I are Roman Catholic, and we practice our faith, everyday, not just on Sunday.  I have my views, and I express them here, as I have a right to do so.  That doesn't mean people have to take my advice.

Part of the Catholic faith in includes us reminding others of the occasion of sin- NOT judge them, simply remind them so they can think about how their behavior is moving them farther away from God.  Like I said, no one here has to listen to a word I say.  Its just Catholic food for thought.

    Have a great day!

  5. gain ur own morals and follow them

  6. Morality refers to universal law which we all have an obligation to obey.  There cannot be such a thing unless there is a lawgiver and that can only be God.

A conscience uninformed by God is just an unfocused set of feelings.  We have no obligation to obey a feeling.

If we believe there is no God, then we're foolish to tie ourselves to feelings.  Feelings are just the way the older generation controls the younger generation.

  7. I'm not religious either, but I do have morals and respect for others.  I don't necessarily feel you need to be a religious person to have strict morals and always try to treat others with the respect they deserve.

Follow your OWN morals, and don't listen to the religious preachers on here.  If you ask for advice, however, try reading what everyone's advice is - maybe someone will actually make sense to you and provide decent advice.  You don't need to be religious to offer good advice or have a good opinion.

  8. mine mine mine.

  9. Follow your own morals.  There're many people with good morals and are not religious.

  10. what you get on this site is called opinions . it is your choice to follow them or not .comprende?

  11. Human beings have no morals, they are all hypocrites. The best i can tell you is to follow your own morals.

  12. EVEN A MIS GUIDED SOU LIKE U SHOULD KNOW HOW TO B RESPECTFUL AND HAVE MANNERS

  13. Thats a dumb question really.

  14. No you should follow your own. What ever you don't want done to you should stop you from doing it to others.

  15. Just follow the Golden Rule.

It applies to all religions, faiths and beliefs.

  16. Every living thing on earth knows right from wrong.  You don't need religion to be a good person.  Regarding relationships...you know what is right and wrong and you don't need anyone to tell you.

  17. I think you should SHUT UP NOW!!

  18. You should follow your own morals, but society's laws.
