  1. Well that could be why it wasn't positive hun! It HAS to be first morning urine. I believe it's defined with peeing, not drinking anything, sleeping for atleast 4 hours.. =] (I only say that since you say you're getting up a lot in the middle of the night)

  2. Pregnancy test 7 days after a missed period for the greatest accuracy. Testing too early can lead to false results. Best wishes, G

  3. The test itself is based on detection of beta human choriogonadotropin (b-HCG) which is produced by a developing placenta.

The urine test will only become positive once the concentration of bHCG gets high enough in the urine.  So, this is based much more on when the egg gets fertilized, embeds into the uterine lining, starts to grow a placenta and the placenta starts to make the bHCG.  So, depending on the number of variables there, especially when considering this is all much closer related to the ovulation date than the predicted day 0 (first day of blood flow), it all can be a little unpredictable.

Your best bet is to do one of three things:

    1) go to the doc, and get the blood test.  Its more sensitive to the bHCG that has been absorbed into the blood (the bHCG only gets into the urine once it is concentrated enough in the blood as to get effectively filtered out by the kidneys).

    2) redo a urine test in about 3 days.  Once you get to 5 days past your missed cycle, its usually fairly safe to assume those results are pretty accurate.

    3) assume you are not pregnant and only retest once its starts to be stressful that you continue to not have a cycle (assuming there that you are actually pregant and that your assumption was wrong).

All the same, if you are going to go to term with any child you might be pregnant with you should probably consider avoidance of alcohol, drugs, smoking until you are satisfied that you are not pregnant.

    Hope that helps

    Cheers

    John

  4. the pregnancy test show the true after 2-3 weeks from pregnancy

  5. I was told that you're supposed to wait one week past the missed period, and then if that test is neg then it's pretty safe to say that you're not pregnant.

  6. If your period hasn't started yet, it's not a defiant no that your not pregnant.  Depends on the hormone levels.
