ok im bored and watching the olympics. I probably spelled their names wrong....

Michael Phelps(U.S.A.)- What is he listening to in his earphones?

Nastia Luikin (U.S.A.)- Shes American but she sounds Russian??? Whats up with that? Also why was she wearing pink while Shawn Johnson was wearing red?

Ksenia Semenova (Russia)- She is fifteen? Her bday is oct. 20 1992. I thought you had to be sixteen to be in the olympics?

Also how old is Shawn Johnson (U.S.A)?

Phelps - rap music, before every race

Liukin - born in Russia, parents have American citizenship though.

Pink and red - they want to show that they are two different competitors, not similar in style.

Russian who is 15 - As long as she is 16 by the end of the year, you can compete

Shawn Johnson - 16 years old

Shawn is 16 - they were wearing different uniforms because it is individuals, not teams.

Nastia is Russian but was raised in the US.

You have to turn 16 in the year of the Olympics, so if you are competing as a 15 year old, that means you are about to have a birthday.

i don't know what he is listening to, but it is a way to focus and block out everything else.

Nastia's parents are Russian.  She was born there but came here when she was 2.  The pink was their uniform they used during training.  The red was the one the wore during the finals.  My guess is they can choose which they want to wear.  I thought it was nice.

You have to be turning 16 the year of the olympics.  So yes she is 15, but will be 16 this year, so she is fine to compete.  

Shawn is 16.

Natsia and Shawn were wearing dif. leotards because they weren't competing together, they were competing against each other. Her names Russian because She was born in the Societ Union, but moved when she was 2 to New Orleans then Plano Texas.

Idk about Ksenia, but I heard you have to be nearing 16 to be in the Gymnast olympics. Who knows I could be wrong.

Nastia Liukin - Yes her parents are soviet gymnasts, shes russian american. so it makes sense. shes an immigrant to America at a very young age.

Ksenia Semenova - Well, if you use 2008 to subtract 1992 you get 16. So, she is a 16-soon-to-be, and yes she is qualified into the competition.

Shawn Johnson - She is 16, the youngest girl in the American team.
