Ok I am planning to take my daughter back to visit Vietnam?

I was planning to take her out of school for like a month in Jan or Dec maybe in Feb but than i am wonder if this is going to affect her because she going to be in 9th grade and is her first year in HSH and I m just worry that she can't catch up for class and OGT

there is a lot of work in high school!  It would take sooo long to make up all of that work.

If you were to do it in December, it would only have her out of school for a couple of weeks because of the winter vacation, I believe?  That might be the best time to do it and ensure she has a better chance of keeping up.  Sounds like an awesome trip though.  My children are half Vietnamese and I look forward to taking them there someday.  Good luck!

Perhaps you could get with her teachers before hand for them to give you/her lesson plans for her to work on while you guys are out of town?  She could have assignments, if its possible turn them in via the internet or email (have no idea of internet status their or fax or any thing like that).  You could look at it and help her if she needs it.

And if she does get behind, you could hire a tutor for a couple weeks and get her caught up no problem.

If i were you i would take your daugther out for december because she wouldn't miss the whole month.Your daugter could probally catch up 3 or 2 weeks worth of work.
