Ok I am researching micro water purification kits and pricings. This fellow tried to sell me one well rather?

he gave me a voucher for a $1200 micro filtering unit that attaches to my sink and shower. BUT.... I had to pay $22 a week to cover 20 servicing visits over a 10 years period. tHe payments are $22 a week for 48 weeks with an 18.9% interest component. So i have started researching these things - i need to know what a micron is because you can get 1, 2, 5 and 50 microns filters . if you have a micro purification system what is it and do you like the water? I live in Melbourne Australia and the water is pretty awful. I went to Bunnings and found some systems that attach to the sik and water pipe for $200 and you can put a 1, 2, 5 or 50 micron filter. So what do you think?

go for the one which costs $200 if u r not going to drink the water. If u planning to drink the water go for the $1200 as it is one time investment for the next 10 yrs.
