I had every warranty availible but of course no screen impacts are covered. I know the tvs cost is nearly entirely the screen itself but it has to be worth something somewhere? right? how much and where to sell it?

additonally..is there some type of screen protection shield that can protect my new one? the lcd screens break so easily, its ridiculous.

  1. maybe on ebay for parts not many other people will buy a broken t.v. to watch lol there is always the warranty possibility to

  2. Check your home owners insurance?  You could create your own screen with a piece of lexan from the hardware store and some self adhesive velcro.  I wouldn't use 2 sided tape as you will need to get inside eventually to dust.  I do not recommend lcd flat panels to people with small children unless they are putting them up high---but even then--those little arms can throw a fork at about 60mph---I've seen it.

Did you get the exact same model again?  Save the old one for parts---the day will come when the new one will need repair and you'll save yourself hundreds in parts.
