I heard that if we get married he can stay in the US longer. How long can he stay if we dont gt married at first?

  1. By marrying him you might be able to get him permanent residency. Just be careful if you're marrying him just to get him into the country. You can get into a bit of trouble if you get caught.

    If you can prove that the marriage is real and not just to get him in the country, then he should be able to get permanent residency to be with you.

    If you don't get married, he will only be allowed to stay as long as his VISA permits.
