Question:

Ok I want to run longer without stoping?

Yeah I have to run a mile every week but I have some serious ADHD because within like 5 min of running I loose focuse and just stop. Not cuz im tierd or anything just because I loose focuse can you tell me how to keep going without getting bored!

  1. Hi, instead of doing a mile each week, how about dividing it so you run shorter distances but more often. As far as ADHD if you are watching the Olympics then use Phelps an American as a guide to what you could do, most importantly don't give up, when jogging jog for a few minutes and walk for a few minutes, break it up so it's not boring, change the places you run all the time, don't get bored with the same place each time. Keep it up u will get better


  2. Get a running buddy. That way, you can encourage that person if s/he wants to stop and vice versa.

    Another way would be to break your run into sections.

    For example, make yourself run for at least six minutes before taking a short break to look at something more interesting.

    Repeat this and try to extend the uninterrupted running time by 30 seconds to a minute after each break.

    Over time, you'll be able to run the entire mile without stopping.

  3. I don't know, I don't have ADHD, but try listening to your iPod. Make a playlist of all of your favorite songs and when you're running make sure you get through all of them before you stop. Hope i helped! :) Good luck!
