Ok Im clearly clueless on cars and I have a few questions bout my 2006 Acura RSX so please help!!!

Question

1. Ok how much would it cost for me to make a copy of my key?

2. And someone told me I could buy another one of those alarm thingys (the thing u push to lock and unlock) online on ebay but how would u program it? Or how would that work?

3. How many diff types of tints are there I know bout the limo black and the lightest one are there any more?

Oh and whats the diff between a 2005 and 2006 acura rsx cuz I had an 05 but it got totalled and I wanna know if theres any differences.

Any locksmith should be able to duplicate your key for under $10.

You're better off getting a remote from the dealer.  

Stay away from ebay because you don't know what you're getting.

The 06 has minor exterior cosmetic changes, otherwise, they are identical.

I tried to find somthing about smart keys on the rsx and I could not find anything about a smart keys. My integra is just a normal key nothing smart about it check out www.streetkeys.com vin-cut if you dont trust home depot to copy it for you.

Mel?  Do you run and diner and have someone named Flo working for you?

Anyway, don't believe those bone heads about going to HomeDepot.  The Acura factory keys have a chip imbedded that links with the car when you insert the key and if they don't match, the car is not going anywhere.  The factory key is about $60 and has to be ordered, not something you walk right in and they give it to you.

As for the alarm fob, you can get that off E-bay and you program that by doing several specific key turn, pressing of buttons, etc.  You'll have to ask dealer, or search online and get information.

2005/2006 not much difference, except for some minor color changes and options, don't remember what but it was running at the end of the cycle, and eventual run.

3. yea again ask the dealer, there is no set #, every car maker has different shades

There is not much difference but some of them have 2 door and some of them have 3 doors.

First off...you NEED an Acura key...it's a 'smart key' keyed to your car...

stay away from ebay...

go to your local tint shop, they have all the info you need.
