Ok So I Want To Install Vista But I Don't Want To Get Rid Of My Xp. ?

I'm Installing Vista Home Basic

I'm Running Xp pro Sp2

My Specs Are:

System

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHz (2 CPUs)

Memory: 512MB RAM

DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

Display

Chip Type:RADEON 9200 PRO AGP (0X5960)

Memory: 128.0MB

Sound

Name: Realtek AC97 Audio

NOTE: I HAVEN'T INSTALLED VISTA YET. So If I Make A Partition I'll Call This NUMBER 1(The One That I Am Going To Make) and My Partition Which Im Using Now (The One That Has Xp) I'll Call That NUMBER 2

Ok So I Want To Know That If I Make NUMBER 1 And Install Vista On It. Will NUMBER 2 Have Vista Or Xp

Please Help Cuz I'm About To Upgrade And I Don't Want To Get Rid Of Xp (I'm Scared All My Valuable Software Will All Be Gone

Also I'm A Nooblet In Training So The Instructions Have To Be Pretty Easy To Understand

    They will show you how to do it.

    And you really want to upgrade your memory to at least 2GB with what you have right now you could only run vista basic
