Ok a Resume, head shot... and- Cover letter?

I use actinginfo.blogspot.com and it says to send in a resume and head shot but i also read somewhere else to have a "cover letter".

Should I put one?

What would i write?

I don't have a lot of experience, if any at all. But I'm sending it in either way. i just don't know if I should put a cover letter and what i should put.

no you dont need a cover letter, but careful what site you read for castings cuz lots are phoney. but anyways what part are you sending stuff in for? email me? i used that site too and sent stuff in yesterday
