Ok all you spaceand astronomy buffs tell me?

Question

Do you think there is life on other planets?Do you think someday we will meet them and why wuld God put them so far away?The question on the economy i ask got put in here and ididnt see it till today when i clicked back on so that was kinda my fault but this one is right and i would love to know what ya all think about our space program is it going to be someday we can go to space in little space cars gee that would be a blast .

Yes I do. Why wouldnt there? the only people that have complelty negatives thoughts on that and refuse to belive it are religious people. Becouse, there beliefs revolve around them being the biggest and important thing in this universe. But if your above religion, why wouldnt you? thre are tons of planets and galexies that weve never even seen. And earth being the only planet with anything? very unlikely.

Yes, definately, I do think that there's other life and I think that it's very, very old, however, I feel that probably it won't be as intelligent as some would have us believe (The SETI people, for example).  I do feel that some day we will be at an advantage to actually meet the other life, however, I don't believe in GOD.  So I don't believe that a GOD actually "placed" life so far away from us.  I feel the space program must go far, far away some day, when "cost" improve (and/or when a new mode of travel exists), which may, or may not (probably not), be in my lifetime.  The reason I believe this is that where else do we have to go, but space, or "out there" somewhere!  And wasn't it Carl Sagen who said that: "We must be a people of at least two planets"

It is extraordinarily likely that life exists on some other planet somewhere else in the galaxy, and in other galaxies.  We'll probably get some evidence of it within the next 50 years.

Commercial space is coming to a planet near you.  A prototype orbital hotel has already been launched.

Our planet has a extraordinery variety of species on earth. But we know that there is so many more solar systems and inumerable numbers of galaxies. SO there must be some life in space that should arise to communicate across space. Scince 1960's various projects have been set up to comduct search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) using radio telescopes. It seens likly that aliens would use radio waves of some sort to communicatr just as we do.

1. Most planets are lifeless.  However, there could be a few with life.  But we have no proof (on way or the other).

2. a) yes b) God can do whatever She wants.  You ask God next time you have the chance.

4. a) Space program is now too small.

b) it would be fun but I do not know where we would get the energy.  We have a hard time as it is just to keep our SUVs on the road; we've even reached the point of waging war just to keep cars going.
