Ok...computer crashed...bascially had to re-load

ok...computer crashed...bascially had to re-load windows etc...now trying to re-connected to the internet.Oh my computer is an athlon 64 and im using xp prof windows. Im with orange and i use an speedtoouch 330. I never had the disc to reload my speedtouch so went to download the drivers (using another computer of course : ) ) I choose the winxp64 file (hope this was right)...Now i ran this and up pops the squares in bottom right hand corner...3 green, one purple...(me thinks this means all is ok!?) Goes to connect and all i getting is error 678. Rang orange..done the walkthrough thing...creating new connection...disconnecting modem..but still to no avail...they are now doing i line check...but to be honest ...it was working before system crash ..so im not hoping for much there....wondered if you have any thoughts....thankyou
