I am a dance teacher teaching ages 3 through adults. I'm looking for some fresh new music for the dance season, but I really have no idea what my students like. What kind of music do you like to dance to? Mostly looking for music for jazz, tap, and lyrical (I don't teach hip hop), but any kind of dance is fine really. What songs would you like to dance to, keeping in mind that the music has to have clean content (not an outright song about s*x) and no swear words (or something that I can easily cut 1 or two swear words out)?

  3. You could ask your students there opinion but i would say anyone who is a jazz, tap, or lyrical singer...www.music.yahoo.com would help and can give good catergories to choose from.

  4. I personally like to dance to songs with a good beat and easy to understand words. Like Superchick, or Barlow girl. Little kids usually like to dance to Disney songs, you can just get the new Disney Mania cd at target or somewhere. Look on youtube under "dance" to find some really good songs. You could also just do songs that everyone knows.
