Ok guys, I'd like to know the name of that book.?

Ok ladies and gentlemen, I think this might be a hard one, but I know everyone enjoys a good challenge.

The only thing I remember is the vague plot line of the book, so forgive me.

It involves a man and his family (wife and daughter) who move in to a new town where everyone seems normal. Slowly, the wife and the daughter start acting strange and the people in the town too.

In the end, the man goes into the woods (was it illegal to go into the woods? I don't know for sure...) and finds the women town people engaged in some sort of pagan ritual, and it turns out that all of the town is part of a cult and they were slowly ingraining his wife and his daughter to the cult.

And I think he kills himself in the end.

I dont have a vague idea on the book but the storyline sounds a lot like the movie The Wicker Man. Plots almost the same only the difference is his wife n daughter were already part of the cult n dragged him into it to die. Oh n he dint even know he had a daughter at the beginning of the movie. Hes a cop investigating what he thinks is her dissappearance.

ETA: After looking around a little more, I see it's out of print, but you should be able to find a decent used copy fairly cheap (assuming it's the book you're after, of course).
