  1. grooms present should be something he can look at in 40 years and remember the special moment. Grill is out or don't invite me to the barbecue in 40 years. Jewelry is ok, painting or something you did or had done is better. I got my wife an antique jewelry box w inlays and stuff. Still on her dresser after 20 years. I got a leather portfolio.

  2. If you are Christian, a nice family Bible would be cool (the kind where you document all the important events).  I got that for my husband when we got married and he loved it.  Other than that, maybe some carving with his and your names on it.  My husband got me a nice perfume- that was a pleasant surprise on our wedding day.  Hope this helps. Congrats!

  3. i'd say get him something he likes

then also give him the painting because it will be something he can treasure for years.

  4. if you go to the site :THINGS REMEMBERED"- they have alot of gift ideas that can be engraved for free with your wedding date on it so he will always remember when he got it.

A money clip or a beer mug with a case of his favorite beer is a good idea.Jewelry is also a good idea and have it engraved! Get something that is engraved and that he will have forever! A grill can be a anniversary gift or xmas gift. NOT WEDDING GIFT! A wedding gift should be something personal that he will always remember his wedding date!  Check out that site. It's cool! I went on it and bought my bridal party gifts from there.

    GOOD LUCK!!!!

  5. How about one nice long *******?

  6. Congrats on your engagement!

I am getting married in October, and I am getting my husband to be a pair of Colts tickets (he's a huge fan) and a custom brewed beer with personalized labels.  He's also a huge beer fan.

If your husband likes to grill, maybe he would like a personalized grill set?

Best wishes to you both :)

  7. I would say something he likes. personally i would like something funny and that can last along time.
