Ok harry potter people this confused me a bit?

ok so nobody can cross into the hogwarts grounds because of the spells surrounding the walls or whatever. so how do harry and ron manage to get into the grounds in the flying car? jw lol

ha ha this is crazy I just re read these books this week. You can't apparate into the hogwarts grounds but there's nothing to prevent them from flying a car in. Wow I feel like nerd now lolz.

I think those charms were applied later in the series...I'm not sure if they were operating in Harry and Ron's second year.

Easy! The grounds are protected by ANTI-APPARATING spells and there are gates, and until the end of book 4 that's it! starting in book 5 there are spells to prevent another flying car incident. hope this helps!

You cannot Apparate or Disapparate in or out of the Hogwarts

Grounds.

My guess about the car the Ron was driving is this: They landed in to the Whomping Willow, then they fell out; etc. The tree is on the grounds, but the car drove away into the woods, leaving Harry and Ron on the grounds. The school staff (etc) made more and more stricter rules about who and what goes into the school. Hm. Interesting Q. You deserve a Star :)

i dont knoww....i know that in the 6th book they strengthened the security, due to voldemort...that you cant even climb the face...

the school is bewitched so muggles dont see, you cannot apparate in or out...hmm....i noticed that you can get from hogsmeade to hogwarts too, by that underground route. or is it okay? hmm. still, good questions (:

ok, about the flying car, that was in Harry's second year, and then you could do that... remember Charlie's friends flying in broomsticks to get Norbert?

Well,... it was in the 6th year when you couldn't fly into Hogwarts, not before.
